you Proceedings from the recent Inter-Agency Conference on Metabolic
Engineering, which was held at the National Science Foundation on
February 3, 2005.
This Conference provided an overview of the field of Metabolic
Engineering with presentations describing how Metabolic Engineering is
playing a significant role in the areas of plant science, microbial
science, animal and insect science, health science and computational
biology. Presentations were provided by Grantees of Awards
resulting from the activities of the Inter-Agency Metabolic Engineering
Working Group (MEWG). The electronic version of this report, which is
